Remembering Chris, who would've been 36 on January 3rd. Every time I hear the song "Shine Your Light," I think of him.
"Shine your light down on me
Lift me up so I can see.
Shine your light, when you're gone,
Give me the strength
To carry on, carry on."
-Robbie Robertson, song featured in the motion picture Ladder 49

I know you loved him.
Thinking of you. xoxo
Ditto Sam. Just know I've admired your memory of Chris. I'm sure he knew you were a good friend.
T - can't make it better - hope you are coping. Love you tons!
You called me soon after you learned of Chris’ fate.
You were still hopeful, unaware of all the details.
Although I’d never met Chris, I felt (through you) the blow of his loss. I remain deeply sorry for what I’d like to call “our” loss. I’ve heard enough from you to know that we’d all be better off if Chris was still around to befriend us.
Hi. You don't know me, but Chris and I grew up together in Asheville. He was my first love, and I still think about him every day. It's nice reading your kind words about him. It sounds like you guys were close, and I'm very sorry you had to lose such a great friend.
Strange that I found your blog while googling something else...I think it happened for a reason. My son Will (Chris' nephew) and I spent a lot of time talking about Chris last weekend. Will is a big fan of "Uncle Chris' team" and UNC's victory started our conversation. We miss Chris so much. Your blog choked me up but then made me feel better. Thank you!
